ARBRU Solar Brewery is an off-grid brewing facility near Mallorytown. This microbrewery uses solar energy while supporting global reforestation through their one-tree-per-liter program. Since 2022, the brewery has carved out a unique niche combining craft beer excellence with sustainability education.

What to Expect

The lush taproom centres around a a cozy seating area with couches and barrel tables and surrounded by living plant walls. Staff combine beer service with sustainability education, explaining the brewing processes alongside solar operations.

What to Get

Pizza and Beer

The wood-fired pizza consistently receives rave reviews and the brewery offers vegan cheese options for dietary restrictions. The pizza oven serves as both a functional cooking space and an attractive focal point visible from the patio. We got a margarita pizza and a tasting flight of beer which was the perfect light lunch on a warm day.

Additional Menu Highlights

Warm pretzels receive enthusiastic praise from visitors, making them a perfect beer pairing. The menu features various starters and appetizers to complement the beer selection. For beverages, the brewery offers beer flights allowing visitors to sample multiple varieties, plus local ciders (from down the road) and wines. Well-crafted warm pretzels pair perfectly with any beer, but solar-powered beer is even better. The nachos looked amazing, but we didn’t have the time.

Dome Dining

They have a super cool winter dome experience, where you book heated, geodesic domes that provide intimate settings with games and comfortable seating. It would be an amazing afternoon to watch the snow fall as you drink great beer.
